We have rewritten the submission guidelines. We are getting tougher with the affiliate product spammers and poor quality articles. Before submitting your articles please read the guidelines as it can save you and us a lot of time in having to rework articles if you get it right first time.

As you probably noticed the site has been redesigned over the past few days. I hope you like the new format. Also in the process we moved the site to a new server. Hopefully it will perform better than the last one. If you notice any issues please use the "contact us" link to let us know.

We also offer a reciprocal linking process. If you have a website that has a PR of at least 1, we would be interested in exchanging links. To create your link, click the 'links' link in the side menu and fill in your details.

We are now able to offer advertising opportunities on Information Booth. If you are interested, please use te 'contact us' link at the top of the page.

We now have over 28,000 artcles in the database and rising at a rate of 1,000 articles per week. In addition to that, we now have over 3,000 active authors.

Excellent news everyone. This week we passed 2 more milestones. We now have over 12,000 articles in the database and over 2,000 active authors. Well done!

We have carried out a major redesign of the website this weekend and can now offer you lots of updates to make your life easier whilst on the site.

These include:

New Article Submission Process - Simplified into one screen.

Article Images - There will be an option to add a teaser image to an article. Traditionally Information Booth has always displayed the author image for each article, now there is an option to choose from no image, the authors picture or upload a teaser image.

Updated Search Code - The search is faster and more accurate. 

Podcasting - You will be able to add podcasts to both articles and blogs. There will be links to the podcast feeds on the website which users can click to add the feeds straight into iTunes or another compatible program. 

Advanced Commenting System - Comments will be threaded. Website visitors can reply to other users comments and have their comments grouped together, so a conversation doesn't get lost. Users will also be able to include a website link when submitting and their name will link to it in their post.

For those of you interesting in Google PR and are running the Google Toolbar, will have noticed this morning that Information Booth now has a Page Rank of 3.

This means that all your articles will be getting better positions in the Search Engines, so the more you post to Information Booth, the more traffic you will get.

Apologies if you were trying to connect to the site over the weekend. We had made a clerical error with our license, which has now been resolved. We hope this didn't inconvenience you too much.

Since we started this directory in November we have had a great response. Over 1100 registered authors and now over 5500 excellent articles in our database. turnaround time for publishing is less than 12 hours, not many article sites can boast stats like that.

Well done to all our authors and all our staff for supporting the authors so well!!!
